It's Official, I am always Late! & NSW Sucks

Everything i do, always results in me being late, I just can't help it sometimes.

Besides QLD loosing the State Of Origin Last night, There are a few exciting things going on at the moment. I received my Visa Application back from the candadian Consulate down in Sydney. That was an extremly fast reply on their behalf. We only sent off for it last week. Monicas Visa took almost 2 months for Japan...

Working is going alright at Uni. Its a pretty straight forward job although it does require a bit of preperation in advance in order to have the class run smoothly. The best thing is that there is only 3-4 people turning up to class at the moment, the others are either sick, or just busy taking care of something else. Probably the worst part is that you need to keep reenabling the silly exams every 24 hours, and much of the time, even when i do go to the trouble of enabling the exams, nobody ends up taking the exam in that 24hr period.... Silly silly design on Cisco's behalf.

With all this talk of Cisco, I really need to go and take my exam for this. The 640-801 exam I have been putting off for a little while now, But Eric and myself have to take the exam sometime in the next 2 or so weeks. So that makes one more thing that is happening at the moment. On top of the preperation for Canada and the Preperation for the Careers Evening... YEA-UQ Website

I am also going to be purchasing my Tickets to San Francisco and Toronto this week, was going to purchase them today but I ran out of time as I was running late... (As Usual) and the main reason why this entry is known as I am always late...

Talking of titles, the last part, with regards to NSW sucking rather royally is that Gus Gould is a pompous old bastard... You should have heard some of the things that he said:

Long Overdue

Hi All,

Its good to know that I have finally seen to it to update my blog.

I can't guarantee that this will be a long one, in fact i could almost guarantee that it won't be.

The last week or so in review.

I dropped Allisons Brother and GF at the airport to go to Europe. The check in line was so huge that they were still in it when the plane was supposed to be leaving. Stupid Japan Airlines, (Thats not to say that i am not even a little bit biased... :P

I tell you what though, standing at the airport waiting to see them off was a little sad.. I wanted to be hoping on that plane. Going OS is coming very slowly....

That week Allison and I went to work getting everything organised for our trip. We are still trying to find accomodation in San Francisco and and finally finshed our application for a student Visa For Canada. $125.00 is a little steep but what was even steeper was that it cost $5.30 for a bank Cheque...

For those of you whom don't know, I am the Vice President of a student Group at Uni, called "The Young Engineers Australia, University of Queensland" The name is a little long as it has been extended in the past year to include the "Australia" as we are a part of Engineers Australia.

Anyway, the group is organising an Engineering Careers Evening for all of the Engineering student at UQ, and possibly QUT and state high schools. Its going to be on the 4th of August and that date is approaching quickly. There is a large degree of pressure to ensure that the night goes well as we actually charge Engineering Firms to attend and meet the students. Last year we made a nice fee of about $8-9000 Although we end up paying alot in expenses like $1000 for hall hire, $1200 for Printing booklets, and this year we are probably going to pay about $800.00 for Display boards, a large fee, although it should make the job look much more professional.

To sum that up though, it has been causing a lot of stress particularly for Allison, (she is President) and some members of the group have been really underperforming and as a result the workload is rather un even.... And here we are wanting to have our holidays... :(

See our Website: http://www.engqld.org/group/yeauq

Anyway, I have got to go, this has been a rather uninformative post but one that I really needed to update...

So until next time.

Phil Signing out.....
